I am looking forward to the opportunity to perform with the Jazz Power Initiative (JPI) & Eli Yamin for “Claire Daly Lives” which will celebrate the life of baritone saxophonist and community anchor Claire Daly who left the planet one year ago. The program begins with a new piece commissioned by JPI and composed by Joel Forrester (music), Kirpal Gordon (poetry), Michael Blake & myself (arranger) and ends with a jam session on Claire’s favorite tunes with some of Claire’s favorite musicians.
